August 5th, 2022 was a great day for golf at The Mariana Butte Golf course! A sold out tournament supporting the Dr. Stan Scheer Student Opportunity Fund for TEF - and only in its second year! MBD Marketing & Events loves putting on this tournament and the fun players who attend! Thompson Education Foundation has incredible sponsors and supporters! This tournament helps to raise over $30K for students through what they call the YES FUND. TEF gets the opportunity to say YES to students who would otherwise not be able to afford some of the field trips offered, opportunities to afford to play sports, or to play and instrument in the band. Thanks to these donors, students in the Thompson School District all have to opportunity to participate in activities that everyone deserves. As part of MBD's service offering, we provided the following to Thompson Education Foundation for this event:

With so many nonprofit clients, our My Big Day team spends a lot of time securing donations and sponsorships for events. Here are some essential tips for finding and keeping event sponsors for your small company or nonprofit. What are event sponsors? Sponsors are companies, organizations, or individuals who fund an event in exchange for publicity, so that proceeds from the event can go to the host organization. Sponsors typically provide monetary funds, but may also offer in-kind donations of goods, promotional sponsorships through platforms like websites or social media, or advertising sponsorships. How do I find event sponsors? When searching for potential event sponsors, consider organizations that have something in common with your own, such as a mission, values, and/or an audience. Your chances of securing a potential sponsor are much greater if there is reason for them to be interested in your event, such as a professed interest in your company’s goals and beliefs or potential for the sponsor to market themselves to their desired audience. You can also look at a company’s website, social media pages, and news articles to see if they’ve sponsored similar events in the past. When sourcing sponsors, consider:
How do I secure event sponsors? Event planners often provide potential sponsors with a sponsorship packet – a digital or printed pamphlet that breaks down the benefits a sponsor receives based on the amount of funding they provide. A sponsorship packet should include details about audience demographics, projected or past attendance numbers, vendor names, any data or analytics you can provide about your organization’s reach on individual platforms, and testimonials from past sponsors. For nonprofits, testimonials from beneficiaries can be very appealing to potential sponsors. Elements that can help with emotional appeal for both small businesses and nonprofits include your startup story, inspiration behind your organization, your mission statement, and ways your organization benefits the local community. Typical sponsorship benefits include brand exposure, audience engagement, and improved reputation for the sponsoring organization. A sponsorship packet outlines levels of sponsorship (for example, Silver, Gold, Platinum) and corresponding publicity benefits. What are some common event sponsor benefits?
What are some creative event sponsor benefits? Make your sponsorship packet stand out by offering these unique event sponsor benefits:

Through sponsorship, your business won’t directly promote your company or product, but you will pay to support an event or cause that your customers care about. Through this support, your business is then associated with the event by customers, attendees, media, and the larger community as a whole. The many benefits of sponsorship There are many benefits associated with sponsorship - many are related to promotional opportunities. If you are looking to sponsor larger events on a nation-wide level scale, there are multiple opportunities to get your branding on items and in the hands of event attendees. Local causes such as sports teams or charity drives might offer more limited spaces for branding and products, but they also allow you to reach a more specific local audience. In all its forms, event sponsorships offer a certainty that traditional advertising simply cannot. They can also help you meet multiple marketing goals at once. Here are just a few:
If it’s a non-profit you’re supporting, you’re getting your name out in the community, building brand visibility - perhaps getting your logo on a t-shirt, creating brand visibility long past the event!
How you can add sponsorship to your marketing plan Adding an event or non-profit sponsorship to your marketing plan should be a part of your overall marketing strategy. You should spend time asking the following questions:
It doesn’t have to be a huge event to make a huge impact on your business. Small Business. Big Impact. Phone: 970-613-1455 or 303-886-3068 Email Us We serve the entire Front Range; Denver, Southern Wyoming, the CO Mountains, and Northern Colorado: Loveland, Fort Collins, Greeley, Windsor, Berthoud, Estes Park, Lyons, Longmont, Boulder, Wellington, Johnstown, Evans, Severance, Timnath, Mead, Frederick, Firestone, Milliken This has been a crazy year. Many holidays and birthdays have had to be celebrated in non-traditional ways. The same is true for this year’s Halloween festivities. Celebrating Halloween During a Pandemic? Door-to-door trick or treating will not be happening in most neighborhoods. There is a long list of rules and restrictions for candy-givers, parents, children to follow. Christine Forester, President of My Big Day Marketing & Events, along with The Thompson Education Foundation, have come up with a way for families in Northern Colorado to celebrate Halloween safely. They saw the need and came up with a solution - NoCo’s Greatest DriveThru TrickorTreat Experience! I have asked Christine to answer a series of questions to help give some insight on this creative way to have a safe but fun event. 1. How did you come up with this idea? I actually heard tons of rumbling in the news about 'what if Halloween is cancelled this year?" As a parent I started thinking of ways we could make Halloween even safer. I came up with this very different version of a 'trunk or treak' and pitched it. It was a winner! 2. How will the event work exactly? To ensure all county and city regulations for COVID-19, we are limiting the number of people onsite at a time, so our event has staggered times that cars can arrive. Cars will drive through very slowly as trick-or-treaters can take in the fun displays, and trick or treat out of their windows! 3. This is a fundraiser for The Thompson Education Foundation, what will the proceeds be going towards exactly? Funds raised for events that support Thompson Education Foundation go toward the many programs they offer, grants and scholarships for students in the Thompson School District. 4. I see the event has been sold out for quite some time, how quickly did the tickets sell and were you expecting such a good turn out? YES it has! We did expect that the community would embrace this event. We did NOT expect for it to sell out in 5 minutes. We have been receiving hate mail nearly daily from parents who didn't get a ticket. During a global pandemic and working with small businesses and a staff of 50 volunteers- we can truly only do so much. We expect this all day event will bring in 3,000 people over the course of the event. We simply cannot allow any more without breaking county rules and jeopardizing safety. 5. Shout-out to Sponsors? We are grateful for the support of The Group, Foothills Credit Union, Kaiser Permanente, AIMS, Comcast, and iHeart to name just a few!
Loveland Drive-In Launches June 5 Bringing Six Weeks of Classic and Family Favorite Movies Tickets go on sale June 3 for the pop-up experience to benefit Thompson Education Foundation LOVELAND, Colo. - May 29, 2020 - My Big Day Marketing and Events along with partners Thompson Education Foundation (TEF), Visit Loveland, and Rythm EFX have launched a pop-up Loveland Drive-In fundraiser. The drive-in runs June 5 through July 12 in the north lot of The Outlets at Loveland. Tickets go on sale June 3 and are a suggested donation of $20. Drive-In details - how it works:
The ability to provide daytime shows comes with innovative LED wall technology from Rythm EFX that is also used in large event centers such as Fiddlers Green Amphitheater and many outdoor festivals for all-day events. Unlike video projection, LED wall is capable of competing with the sun. To get an idea of what to experience, picture the large, vibrant screens seen in Las Vegas 24/7. “We are proud to come together with our partners and offer a safe, fun way for families to get outdoors and enjoy some entertainment - all while supporting TEF and helping to boost the economy,” said Christine Forrester, owner of My Big Day Marketing and Events.”Loveland is a community with heart and we are all excited to step up with this opportunity at a time when people and businesses need it most.” “At Visit Loveland, our goal is to bring people to Loveland to shop, eat, stay and play,” said Cindy Mackin, visitor services manager for the City of Loveland. “The location on I-25 and US 34 makes it easily accessible for locals and nearby families to take advantage of this entertainment option and give back at the same time.” The Loveland Drive-in is looking for additional sponsors to help offset the costs of production and help give more to the TEF. TEF’s vision is to be the community’s best answer to support student and educator opportunities in the Thompson School District. They do this through scholarships, grants, homeless assistance and other important programs for Loveland-area youth. Sponsorship packages are available now through TEF. This month we are setting out to break a world record in Northern Colorado! Guinness World Record: Longest Line of Toothbrushes Did you know that pediatric dental disease, also known as childhood tooth decay, is the #1 chronic childhood illness in America? Or that 1 in 5 U.S. children go without dental care? Or that more than 40% of children have dental cavities by the time they reach kindergarten? I didn’t. Here at Change Gangs, we want to support charities that make a big impact on people’s lives, and it turns out that something as small as a toothbrush, can make a pretty big impact. That’s because children with poor oral health are 3 times more likely to miss school as a result of dental pain. If they do go to school, the pain can make it difficult to pay attention and learn. And the feelings of shame and low self-esteem that children often feel when they have bad teeth can make it hard for them to fully participate in school and build the social skills that will help them succeed as adults. Because a good education is one of the most important factors influencing future employment prospects and lifetime earning ability, poor dental health as a child can impact his or her entire life. Untreated childhood dental disease also has serious long-term health consequences and has been connected to heart disease, stroke, pulmonary disease, and pre-term, low birth-weight babies. In 2012, someone visited the ER every 15 seconds for an emergency dental condition. It’s Happening on February 26th! February is National Children’s Dental Health Month which makes it the perfect time to tackle this problem. Thanks to Delta Dental of Colorado, Nanci Garnand of Re/Max, and the Loveland Design Center, we have 55,000 toothbrushes that we’ll line up end to end for a record breaking 5.5 mile long line of toothbrushes. Don’t worry, the toothbrushes are individually wrapped, so they will stay clean, sanitary, and suitable for donation. After we break the record, the toothbrushes will be disbursed to food banks and children’s organization throughout the state of Colorado. How Can You Help? Spread the word! We’re spending the entire month of February spreading the word about the importance of dental hygiene for children and how people can help children in need get access to better dental care. We need volunteers! Can you help with a 2 hour shift? Email Sharon: sharon@sharonlipinski.com Also, if you want to help financially. We have the toothbrushes, but it would be amazing to provide toothpaste to go with it. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for toothpaste. If we raise more money than we need for that purpose, then we'll direct those funds to America's Tooth Fairy to provide dental care to children in need. 100% of donations you make go directly to either of these purposes.
