There is planning events.... and there is PLANNING EVENTS! This community event is a massive undertaking that takes nearly the entire year to plan! Our friends at Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain have enlisted MBD for the past 2 years to assist with this event they inherited. In it's 56th year of tradition in Longmont, this experience did not disappoint! 4 homes, countless vendors, over 100 volunteers, Habitat staff, and an army of event planners..... the community was able to enjoy shopping and home tour delight! MBD provided event planning guidance, onsite event managers, and event marketing. Learn more about this spectacular tradition in Longmont HERE.
Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley is hosting a time-honored event, now approaching its 56th year of holiday magic. The Gift of Home Tour is a beautiful Longmont holiday tradition. With a focus on charitable giving, making memories, and supporting local businesses, The Gift of Home Tour is Colorado's largest self-guided holiday home tour. Homes will be “dressed up” for the holidays by decorators and decor stores, all with their own theme. The homes will feature items for sale and decorating ideas to get you ready for the holidays.

About Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley (St. Vrain Habitat) is dedicated to providing decent, affordable homeownership for working families in the St. Vrain Valley and Estes Valley School Districts. Established in 1988, Habitat's mission is 'Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.' At Habitat, our vision is a world where everyone has a decent, affordable place to live. Work That Matters For 34+ years, St. Vrain Habitat has partnered with families in our community to help them achieve the dream of owning a home. One in 7 Colorado families pays more than half their income on housing. Every month families are forced to make tough decisions about what they can afford: rent, food, child care, transportation, or health care. All Habitat homeowners complete a rigorous application process where they demonstrate a clear need for housing, the ability to pay a mortgage, and a willingness to partner through 'sweat equity' hours and preparedness classes. Through Habitat, families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. The long-term impacts of homeownership include: enhanced wellbeing, improved educational outcomes, improved health, safer neighborhoods, increased safety, and reduced need for public assistance. Loveland, Colorado February 2, 2016 – In its third year, My Big Date represents three outings on Valentine’s Day weekend in Loveland, Colorado including a brunch and brew tours and spirits tours. The Brunch & Brew tours featured a brunch at Loveland, Colorado’s award-winning Grimm Brother’s Brewhouse. Catering will be provided by Taste, a Loveland-based catering company owned and operated by Vicky Bittner. Bittner sat down with the brewers at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse to create a special four-course Valentine’s Day brunch menu for My Big Date. The first course is a fresh fruit streusel served with The Pack of Scoundrels, a German style beer that originated in Hannover, Germany in 1526. It’s a crisp, light malt beer with a bouquet of spices. The second course features a wild mushroom Parmesan polenta with prosciutto benedict covered in a green chili hollandaise with balsamic reduction. This rich dish will be served with Liquid Zoo, a Weizenbock style beer that’s big and malty with some Hefeweizen characteristics of clove and banana. Things will get spicy during the third course that features hash brown potatoes served with sriracha ketchup and an ancho chili honey. This course is paired with a GABF medal winner – Snow Drop Kottbusser Ale, a 7.1% ABV beer that goes with everything, but is an especially nice complement to fiery foods. Brunch will finish with a caramelized pineapple jalapeno bread pudding served with maple syrup. This dessert has been paired with a Bleeding Heart S’mores Porter. Every year Grimm Brothers Brewhouse brews a unique Bleeding Heart beer in celebration of Valentine’s Day, an important day in Loveland, Colorado, the Sweetheart City. Each year it is so popular that the tap room is often sold out by Valentine’s Day. This year’s guests of My Big Date are sure to get a taste of this rare beer. My Big Date packages are available on Saturday, February 13, 2016. The VIP package, available on February 14 only, is sold out. For more information go to ValentinesDayinLoveland.com. ![]() Their tagline is, "Scooterhinge, A Nostalgic Rental Hall." But this venue in Mead, Colorado is more than nostalgic. It's eclectic, it's strange... it's downright a museum of the odd and unusual! The My Big Day team went on a site visit of Scooterhinge to get an idea of what future signature events might makes sense in this space. We also receive requests for affordable event spaces where clients have the option to bring their own caterer and alcohol. This place offers all of that and more! So we wanted to get a feel of what this venue is all about before we make referrals to our clients. Located between Loveland and Longmont, Mead is a town of less than 4,000 people. The owner of Scooterhinge is a collector of sorts. He purchased this building and started bringing in his collectibles (old motorcycles, classic cars, vintage dolls, nostalgic toys, the list goes on.)
