Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley is hosting a time-honored event, now approaching its 56th year of holiday magic. The Gift of Home Tour is a beautiful Longmont holiday tradition. With a focus on charitable giving, making memories, and supporting local businesses, The Gift of Home Tour is Colorado's largest self-guided holiday home tour. Homes will be “dressed up” for the holidays by decorators and decor stores, all with their own theme. The homes will feature items for sale and decorating ideas to get you ready for the holidays. My Big Day Marketing & Events was honored to be the planning partner for the branch’s Grand Opening - Open House.  Bachus & Shanker are personal injury attorneys who have built their sprawling state-wide practice to help injured people achieve justice. Since they opened their first office in 1997, they have represented over 10,000 people. They are advocates for victim rights, and they are dedicated to the communities in which they work through the Bachus & Shanker, LLC Care Foundation. This foundation has given more than $150,000 to local charities over the past four years. My Big Day Marketing & Events was brought in to help plan the grand opening open house and toy drive for their Fort Collins office. We helped manage the event set up from securing vendors to rental deliveries and set up. Our staff was on hand prior to, during, and after the event to make sure everything ran smoothly. We assisted with guest check-in, bar-tending, and ran the event’s contest drawing.  Guests of Bachus & Shanker RSVP’d for an evening of delicious food, drink, networking, and fun. During the event, there was a surprise visit from Slap Shot, the Colorado Eagles mascot. They were on hand to help hand out the grand prize drawing - tickets to future Colorado Eagles games. Two lucky winners won 4 tickets each to games in December and January.  While the nasty winter weather did have a slight effect on attendance, those that did brave the weather found a great opportunity to network with other industry professionals. The office space had a wonderful break room area that was perfect for mingling over appetizers and drinks. My Big Day is grateful for the opportunity to help plan this celebration and looks forward to building a strong community connection with this company. We celebrate 60 years since Hewlett Packard opened a massive campus in Loveland, catapulting the city into a technological hub and city known for innovation! The building that put Loveland on the tech map sat dormant for a while after HP vacated. Today, the building has new owners and a fresh start! Known as Forge Campus, it is once again THE BUZZ of the city! MBD Marketing & Events was prospected a number of months ago by a steering committee for the initiative called, Live Loveland, to consider helping to plan a large scale event. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into. An incredible number of members of the community from all different backgrounds came together to give their input on what they wanted this celebration to look like. Favorite Spots for Family & Senior Photos Rocky Mountain National Park - This location offers some of the most majestic mountain views around! It is very popular in the fall - especially with the variety of golds, oranges, and reds - perfect for family photos that are worthy of a Christmas Card! There are multiple locations inside the park to choose from, including, but not limited to, Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, and Moraine Park.  Horsetooth Reservoir - Located just west of Fort Collins proper, this picturesque setting has great options for foothills and water backdrops. Also a great spot for engagement and wedding photos!  Riverbend Ponds Natural Area - This location is a hidden natural area surrounded by city - making it a perfect spot if you want more than one location for your photoshoot or session. You can easily travel from this beautiful natural setting to downtown Fort Collins for a completely different look. We are partial to this location in the fall - it is often full of vibrant yellows and oranges - perfect for fall senior photo shoots!  Arapaho Bend Natural Area - Perhaps one of the most photographed areas for family photos! This iconic bridge and beautiful wooded areas are the perfect setting for any shoot!  CSU Annual Flower Trial Gardens - Located in the heart of downtown Fort Collins, this spot is perfect for family photos, engagement sessions, group photos before school dances, or just some fun selfies with friends. Depending on when you go, there will be different background colors to suit your taste!  Stunning Engagement and Wedding Spots All of the previously mentioned locations would work for engagement and wedding photos, too, but these next spots are undeniably perfect! South Mesa Trailhead - Located near Boulder, CO, this location is a perfect spot to capture important engagement poses or a quick post-wedding photoshoot. Gather shots on the trail itself, or find a nearby stream.  Chataqua Park - Also located near Boulder, CO, this spot has some beautiful vistas and scenery great for any time of year. Hike through fields of yellow grass or snow to catch a perfect shot!  Old Town Fort Collins/Downtown Loveland - Downtown Fort Collins or 4th Street in downtown Loveland offer some chic and more urban shots to suit weddings and group photos.
