![]() This year’s Easter Keg Hunt clues had all of our teams working hard for their booze! This year’s annual day-before-Easter event marked the 15th Annual Easter Keg Hunt, crafted, created, and run by My Big Day Marketing & Events. 15 colorful teams took to the streets of downtown Fort Collins for this fun scavenger hunt event full of clue-solving, team shenanigans, and a quest for the golden keg trophy! Stops on this year’s hunt included: Stuft Burger Bar Pour Brothers Copper Muse Distillery Peacock’s Perch Thingamjigits Locust Cider Old Town Churn Brand Spankin’ Used Avogadro’s Number Fieldhouse at the Fort Avogadro’s Number served as the kick-off spot once again. It’s the perfect location for all of the teams to gather and get pumped up with music, food, and drink! Fieldhouse at the Fort, a newer downtown restaurant and bar, provided a great secret ending location for the teams who found all nine of their “hidden” eggs. The 2023 Fort Collins Easter Keg Hunt Golden Championship Trophy went to the Green Team. They gave it their all to answer the clues quickly and came out on top. My Big Day Marketing & Events would like to thank all of the businesses that participated in this year’s event. We would also like to give a special shout-out to our favorite Easter Keg Hunt photographer, Jen West! You will be able to catch some of her photos on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Over 100 adults safely participated in this highly popular event. Downtown Fun for All! This year saw two separate heats of teams. Kick-offs took place at 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM at Civic Center Park. The mood was enthusiastic and fun during both kickoffs as the My Big Day went through the rules of play. This year, most of the 2:30 PM heat was made up of teams who had never played before. Favorite EKH Stops Teams followed their scavenger hunt clues to the following downtown Fort Collins locations:
Teams worked through clues that included listening to a special song to find the B Sweet truck, a detour to a local bus stop that held the picture clue for CopperMuse, and a picture puzzle clue for local favorite, FoCo DoCo. Teams were also encouraged to compete in some “challenges”, including eating a Pickled Quail Egg in order to receive their clue, or swallowing a pickled lemon in order to knock time off of their scavenger hunt route time. 2021 EKH Bragging rites go to….. While some of the teams had a goal of coming in last as to enjoy all the bar and restaurant stops, others were in it to win it! Our 1:00 Heat was dominated by the Light Green Team. This team has played for many years, and was super excited to leave with the coveted trophy for the first time this year! The winners of the second heat were newbies, Pink B! They were a team of co-workers who used the Easter Keg Hunt as a team building exercise. We’d say they were pretty successful in their endeavors! Looking ahead to next year! The Easter Keg Hunt is hands down, one of our favorite events of the year. It is such a blast to put on - connecting with businesses, getting creative with clues, and watching all of the participants have a blast - we are already looking forward to next year! This year’s favorite Easter party past-time included the following: * 2 Kick-Off Heats (one at 1:00 PM, and another at 2:30 PM) * 22 Teams – each consisting of 7-9 people * Approximately 180 participants * 15 downtown business stops – plus a couple of others for clue solving shenanigans * Tons of Fun!!!! There was lots of excitement downtown as all of our teams searched for businesses, eggs, clues, and of course beer on this hunt! The Turquoise Teams from both heats came out on top – both winning the prized Keg Trophy! Our first heat winner came in just under 2 hours, and they vow to do the same again next year (this was already their second time as EKH champions)! This event is always a favorite of ours to put on. We love the excitement and creativity that the teams bring with their costumes and comradery. We also enjoy getting to know all of the downtown businesses and business owners that we work with to make this event a success.
We would also like to thank our professional photographers who captured all the fun of our event: Kyla Jean Photography & Jen West Photography! You can check out their work in our pictures posted HERE. Even though we just finished with EKH 2017, we are already looking forward to all the fun next year! See all you Keg Hunt Bunnies in 2018!
