March 10, 2015 -Fort Collins, Colo – Three specialty craft companies in Old Town Fort Collins have partnered together for a fundraiser to support The Rett Clinic in Children’s Hospital. Join us Tuesday, April 7th at 6pm in Old Town Fort Collins for a fantastic foodie experience! Blue Skies Winery, CopperMuse Distillery and Pateros Creek Brewing Co. have partnered together to host a tasting tour "progressive". Guests of our tour will start at one of the 3 stops, and then hop from each tasty stop to another. At each stop guests will be presented with delectable pairings of tapas from the infamous ‘Chef Cam’ along with choice beers, wines, or spirits from each host. Tickets are only $60 per person, and proceeds go directly to The Rett Clinic to support their amazing work. Rett Syndrome (RTT) is a debilitating neurological disorder diagnosed almost exclusively in females. RTT has been thought to affect 1 in 10,000 females. It is now believed, however, that the prevalence rate of RTT may be much higher. Rett leaves its victims profoundly disabled and completely dependent on others for every basic need that requires 24 hour a day care. The Rocky Mountain Rett Clinic is one of only 18 clinics in all of America that serve families who are dealing with this baffling disorder. The clinic is mostly funded by donations. Limited funding and resources only allow the clinic to be available 6 times per year. As such, there is a long waiting list for families to get in. Profits from this fundraiser go directly to the clinic.

Three Loveland-based, female owned businesses have created My Big Date, a tasty escape to the Sweetheart City. “Loveland has been a destination for art lovers for many years, but we want people to realize that the town is the perfect Valentine’s Day destination,” said Christine Kovacs Forster, founder of My Big Day Events, LLC, an event planning company in Loveland. There are two packages available this year, and space is limited. The Brunch & Brew package is available on February 14 and 15, 2014. This package includes a coffee tasting at Loco Artisan Coffeehouse, a beer and brunch pairing at Loveland Aleworks and a beer tasting paired with B. Sweet Cupcakes at Crow Hop Brewing Transportation between venues will be provided by NOCO Short Bus Tours, LLC. The second package is a Brewery & Spirits Tour available on February 14, 2014, only. This includes a tour and tasting at Spring 44 Distillery, a tasting flight at Crow Hop Brewing, a tasting flight at Loveland Aleworks and a stop at B. Sweet Cupcakes for a treat. Transportation between venues will be provided by NOCO Short Bus Tours, LLC. Both packages include time for guests to stroll through Loveland’s Fire & Ice winter festival that takes place annually in downtown Loveland over Valentine’s Day weekend. “My Big Date is a great way to introduce people to Loveland,” said Martz-Mayfield. “It’s an introduction to our active brewery scene, our distillery scene and an opportunity to show off downtown.” All 42 participants will receive a gift bag filled with Loveland swag, such as coupons, beer tokens, chocolate and more. The package is available on February 14th and 15th and again on February 21st and 22nd, with brewery tours available on Fridays and distillery tours available on Saturdays. Each package includes transportation, tasters at each stop and an overnight stay including dinner for two at La Quinta Inn, Best Western or Embassy Suites. “The prices vary depending on which hotel you choose,” said Martz-Mayfield. “Embassy Suites is offering a decadent meal just for this event, so a stay with them will be more expensive, however, all the versions are affordable at between $226 and $325.
