![]() Let's face it... We all want to look good ALL the time, but there is something about a special occasion that turns up the heat on how we feel about our physical appearance. Whether you want to fit into a certain dress or dress size, look good for a high school reunion, or walk down the isle, we can find ourselves stressing over every decision having to do with food and activity. No matter what it is you are preparing for, the BEST recommendation I have ever received was for an itty bitty device called the "FitBit." This little tiny tracker is more than a pedometer... it is a life tracker! The FitBit tracks every step you take, stairs you climb, time at rest, sleep, calories you burn, and more! For just $99 you have an accurate read on your activity. You are instantly motivated to get more steps in! (The daily recommendation is 10,000 steps). Do you know how many you are taking a day? If you've seen the show, "Extreme Makeover; Weightless Edition," you know that those picked to participate lose an incredible amount of weight in just 1 year. The participants swear by the FitBit, which they all use to track their activity. If you are ready to get honest about how much you move, check out the FitBit website, or purchase online through REI or Amazon. You won't be disappointed!
![]() Della Terra Mountain Chateau, Estes Park CO --- photo by Snap Lounge One of the most challenging things about planning an event can be finding the perfect venue! You are looking for a place that suits you and your guests, it represents who you are, must be the right size for your head count, fit within the budget, and is in the perfect location. I myself have a spreadsheet with over 160 venues in Colorado alone that I researched for just ONE wedding! The options are unlimited, although at the time of your venue search, can seem so limiting. Sometimes it all comes down to timing. Once you find that PERFECT location, they may not have any openings for the date you had in mind... or even the MONTH! Venue Please is a fantastic website I was recently introduced to. You can search for what you are looking for, or... if you have found a hidden gem, you can post it for others to see! Simply sign up for an account with them to get started! ![]() With every wedding comes tradition. With every tradition comes a twist.
