 Selecting the theme of your wedding can be one of the more difficult details to decide upon. It’s likely you as a couple fit characteristics of more than one theme. Which direction do you go in? Below are four tips to help you better choose the wedding theme that best suits who you are as a couple. Personality First thing’s first: what type of couple are you? Maybe you consider yourself to be outdoorsy and find yourselves camping and hiking on the weekends. If so, a rustic wedding might encompass your personalities! Do you love bright, bold colors and eccentric design? Then maybe a whimsical setting is just for you! Whichever it may be, go with a theme that will let your personalities shine and it will be sure to be a magical momentous event! Personal Style Your personal style can have a lot of say in the theme you choose as well. If you tend to go more of a classy route, than a traditional elegant tuxedo and ballroom gown would be the right choice for you. Or maybe it’s the look of suspenders with a bow tie paired with a lace fitted dress for that fits your fancy? Regardless of the look you choose, it is important to make sure you feel and look your best on your special day. When planning your big day, your personality will play a big part in everything, from the dress to the hors d'oeuvres to the band at the reception. Sports, gaming, or business pursuits hint at ambition and a competitive nature. A gardener or artist has to have the quality of patience to succeed. Healthcare or volunteer workers have a compassionate quality that motivates them to do for others, and fashionistas spend a lot of money and time making themselves beautiful, like living works of art. Your hobbies and interests are more than just things you like to do. They actually say a lot about your personality! Horoscopes and Totems Many people believe that one’s personality is determined by the date of their birth. Chinese, Celtic, and Western astrologers all have their own systems. Other cultures associate personalities with animal totems or phases of the Moon. Astrologers will tell you to explore what “feels” right, and what that means is to select the system you most identify with and see what it has to say about your personality. It might be a fun thing to do with your bridesmaids, or it might teach you something significant about yourself! Ancestry Research Maybe your heritage is a big part of who you are. Maybe you celebrate your ethnic cooking or cultural trades. Maybe you don’t know anything about your background and want to find out before the wedding. Doing some ancestry research can be a huge way to infuse your personality into your wedding and the planning of it. Talking to family members (your elder family can be invaluable here!) or researching online can give you a lot of insights into your heritage, which can in turn be of great influence on your wedding and reception!  Personality Tests Psychology is a young discipline, barely over a century old, but it has come a long way since the first studies of human behavior took place. There are many personality tests out there that classify you based on your answers to questions posed about your attitudes and goals, likes, dislikes, and beliefs. By examining a variety of parameters, these tests might give you some clues about your personality that you didn’t notice about yourself before. They might also highlight the benefits of a feature you’ve noticed but never took pride in. Taking a deep look at yourself might just be what it takes to find your bridal personality! There are lots of ways to find out the things about yourself that you want to showcase when your big day comes. Getting married is all about celebrating the love of the bride and groom, and both your personality signatures will be all over the event. So remember that finding your bridal personality begins and ends with you!

Hosted by the fine folks of Ellis Ranch outside of Loveland, Nicole and Tyler crafted the perfect celebration of love that merged her love of all things shiny and sparkly and his love of BBQ and the Broncos! There were special touches throughout the event, from shining votives on the dinner tables, to pops of orange and blue in the wedding bouquets and floral arrangements.    Following a beautiful gazebo ceremony, guests were treated to an open bar, staffed by the talented Ellis Ranch crew, and appetizers provided by Nicole’s Father and Step-Mother. After the wedding party concluded their after-ceremony photos, the entire party moved into the dining area where Hog Wild BBQ was served, complete with brisket, shredded pork, chicken, and peach cobbler!
Following a beautiful gazebo ceremony, guests were treated to an open bar, staffed by the talented Ellis Ranch crew, and appetizers provided by Nicole’s Father and Step-Mother. After the wedding party concluded their after-ceremony photos, the entire party moved into the dining area where Hog Wild BBQ was served, complete with brisket, shredded pork, chicken, and peach cobbler!
We are so excited that we were able to be part of this couple’s special day, and we wish them a fantastic honeymoon cruise to Alaska, as well as many, many years of happiness and love!

It was only fitting that the celebration of their marriage combined the love and support of their “close to home” families and friends with a “global flair”!
The couple was actually married in a beautiful ceremony in Italy in early August. They chose Italy because Eric’s Mother is of Italian descent, and there was a long generational tradition of being married in a particular Italian church, graced with Frescas painted by world famous artist, Donatello.
After traveling with family to celebrate their marriage in beautiful Italy, the couple continued the celebration of their love in a reception set on Brittany’s parents’ Timnath property. The location was simply stunning with mountain vistas to the west, fields and grasslands to the east, and a gem of a newly constructed barn in the middle that housed the cocktail reception kick off.  The celebration started with cocktails and a delightful anti-pasta spread - catered by 3 Tomatoes from Denver in the gorgeous barn. This barn was not your typical farm barn. This barn - or, house, was constructed with rich finishes and beautiful accessories, and included a full service French-Country kitchen and Horseshoe Shaped Bar that could sit up to 15 people at a time! Guests were treated to delicious food and drink, and mingled with Brittany, Eric, and their families. 
After cocktail hour, the party moved to an expansive tent, decorated with gorgeous chandeliers, drapery, lights and stunning table decor - provided by Palmer Flowers of Fort Collins. Guests enjoyed more delicious food provided once again by 3 Tomatoes - luscious salads, roasted veggies, Ratatouille pasta, Lemon Glazed Chicken, and freshly sliced Prime Rib. Spirits were served table to table and at two beautifully decorated bars, located just outside of the tent.
 There were heartfelt toasts and dancing to live music provided by the Diamond Empire Band. Brittany, Eric, and all of their guests celebrated in beautiful style all evening long!  This gorgeous event wouldn’t have been possible without the detailed vision provided by WhiteTine Interiors, Brittany and her mother, Renee. Eric and Brittany’s personalities were highlighted in all the special details, from photos fresh from their Italian dream wedding, to the little touches of Italy and all of their world travels, in the selections of food and other decor.

Kaitlin had her wedding nearly planned from our first phone call. The bride and groom chose a location that is not a traditional wedding venue, so they knew they needed advice and help pulling everything together to make the day seamless --- and it was!
The location our couple picked was the home of many childhood memories. Kaitlin and her family spent many summers at the Meeker Park Lodge in Allenspark, Colorado. It is a rustic retreat with cabins and priceless views surrounding the entire property.
Our planners did a site visit and helped choose the perfect ceremony spot, with a mountain backdrop that can't be bought!  The reception was filled with laughter and dancing... lots of dancing!

Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE My Big Day announces the 1st Annual Loveland Valentine’s Day Group Wedding Loveland, Colorado December 29th, 2016 – In its fourth year, My Big Day announces a change to their Valentine’s Day event. Once a tastings tour in the city, we have opted to provide an event that is a bit broader and allows for more participants- all in the name of love! The Loveland Valentine’s Day Group Wedding is our answer to the overwhelming request we hear year after year – that citizens and visitors to the Sweetheart City want to say “I Do” on Valentine’s Day. This event is not only a wedding, but a vow renewal for those who want to celebrate their commitment year after year. The location we’ve chosen for the ceremony is Loveland’s Foote Lagoon Amphitheater. It is both romantic and unique – a picturesque location for a ceremony. The wedding and vow renewal ceremony will be officiated by K99’s Morning Show host, Todd Harding. Todd is a hopeless romantic, himself. His love for his wife, Jenny is an inspiration. The ceremony is at 4:30pm at the Foote Lagoon on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017. To participate, couples must register online at ValentinesDayInLoveland.com. Participation is just $30 a person and includes the customized ceremony, romantic music by Branden Sipes, certificate signed by the officiant, personalized photo by Memorybox Photos, signature cupcakes from B Sweet Cupcakes, a gift bag, and a chance to win a large gift basket!
