One of these signature events is the annual 'Easter Keg Hunt.' The Easter Keg Hunt is a public scavenger hunt for adults, held in Old Town Fort Collins. Teams register to play in groups of 6-9. Prior to the event they are given a team color and a list of 'tools' to bring, which will help them solve clues. Teams show off their Easter spirit with wild costumes on the day of the event. At kick-off teams are given their first Easter egg, which contains their first clue to a business on the scavenger hunt route. Once they make it to that business, they are given another egg with another clue. Stops along the route include dares, challenges, and some drinking! The final clue leads teams to a restaurant where we toast the winning team and share stories.
Many factors should be weighed when deciding on the right amount of food for your event. Of course, first you must know the number of people attending. However, the length of the event is also very important, as is the type of event and the type of food you plan to serve. For example, an evening cocktail party requires considerably less food than an entire afternoon or all-day event. The longer guests remain, the more they’ll consume. It’s funny, but over time people get hungry and thirsty over and over again. When estimating, always round up to be on the safe side. Some will eat more, others less. It will all balance out in the end. Try to anticipate which foods/drinks are most popular and will disappear quickly. Order more of these selections.
Their tagline is, "Scooterhinge, A Nostalgic Rental Hall." But this venue in Mead, Colorado is more than nostalgic. It's eclectic, it's strange... it's downright a museum of the odd and unusual! The My Big Day team went on a site visit of Scooterhinge to get an idea of what future signature events might makes sense in this space. We also receive requests for affordable event spaces where clients have the option to bring their own caterer and alcohol. This place offers all of that and more! So we wanted to get a feel of what this venue is all about before we make referrals to our clients. Located between Loveland and Longmont, Mead is a town of less than 4,000 people. The owner of Scooterhinge is a collector of sorts. He purchased this building and started bringing in his collectibles (old motorcycles, classic cars, vintage dolls, nostalgic toys, the list goes on.)

My Big Day Events supports everything wedding and valentine related! One of our favorite annual traditions is the FREE wedding/vow renewal on the top of Loveland Mountain! Loveland Ski Area’s 23nd Annual Mountaintop Matrimony & Ski Free on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14 is a “mass wedding” ceremony for couples getting married or renewing their vows. Couples and their guests must be able to ride a chairlift and ski or snowboard back to the base afterwards. The lift ride takes approximately 12 minutes, and the ceremony takes about 30 minutes. After the ceremony, everyone returns to the Loveland Basin day lodge for the Honeymooner’s Apres Party with music, wedding cake, spirits and a best dressed contest (“ski wedding” attire is encouraged). Participating couples must pre-register online by February 12 in order to receive the 2-for-1 lift ticket special. For more information, call 303-571-5580 Ext. 141. Couples getting married are required to bring a Clear Creek County marriage license; the county office is at 405 Argentine St., Georgetown, 303-679-2339. Those renewing their vows do not need a license. All participating couples must sign in on the morning of Feb. 14th and are asked to be at the Ptarmigan Roost Cabin by 11:30 a.m.
