by Randi Juric Ladies My Big Day is proud to share the hottest and trendiest new bachelorette party! The custom is to go out on the town for the famed Last Night Single. As we are all well aware there are a few obstacles to a night out on the town with the ladies. It can be tough getting everyone together for a night out. Finding a D&D or paying for a taxi, unfortunate mistakes. "Stay in" bachelorette parties are becoming more popular for these reasons. Trending is the best drinking game we have laid out for you below. Stay in, get a baby sitter, and have the best night in EVER! All your ladies can meet in one place, stay the night so there aren’t any unsafe drivers and not have a care in the world about rude people out an about. The best perk is the drinks are way cheaper! The True American Drinking Game is a blast to play at any party. For a bachelorette party you can stick to the questions meant for the game or have you all ask questions, quote or find the common link all based off you and your guests! Having an event planner or just your gals planning your last night single, this is one of the hottest and fun games trending for your night to remember. My Big Day is happy to help you plan your party! True American Drinking Game In Summary Players take turns trying to win moves in order to navigate the tables, chairs, and cushions which are your only escape from the molten lava floor. At the center of the game is a castle made of a bottle of alcohol and many beers. As players traverse the game area, they remove beers and drink them. Once all of the beers have been removed, the first player to reach the bottle of alcohol, finish their beer, and take a swig from bottle, wins the game. The Castle The Castle is made up of one bottle of liquor and many cans of beer (you decide how many based on the number of players). The liquor is the King and sits in the middle of the Castle. The cans of beer are the Pawns and the Soldiers of the Secret Order. The Pawns are lined up in four lines radiating outward from the King. These lines of Pawns also signify the barriers between each zone. The game ends when all of the Pawns have been removed and a player drinks from the King. The Zones There are four zones, each with five spaces where a player can stand. The center space in each zone is the only space where the Pawns can be taken and thus it is the closest space to the Castle. There are a total of four of these spaces. The spaces at the beginning and end of the zones are the farthest away from the Castle. Setup Before the game starts, determine how many beers total should be consumed and setup the Castle with those beers as the Pawns. Using the lines of Pawns as barriers between the zones; designate each zone, making sure to have 5 spaces in each zone as described above. Teams are optional. Starting the Game After setup is complete, players may have a shotgun contest to determine who has the first turn. If no player wisher to shotgun a beer, play rock-paper-scissors instead. To start the game, the winner of this contest yells "One, two three, JFK!" at which point all other players yell "FDR", grab a Pawn from the Castle, and retreat to any space. Gameplay Players move around the game area in a clockwise direction. The player whose turn it is always moves one space; however, the other players must "win" their moves. This player has three ways to provide the other players with a way to win their move.
Players must always have a beer in their hand and may not have more than three at any one time. Players may only take a Pawn from the Castle when they are in one of the four center spaces. Winning After all Pawns have been removed, the King is vulnerable. The first player to land on one of the center spaces, finish their beer and take a swig from the King, wins the game! Losing If you are caught without a beer or with only an empty beer, you lose. If you step in molten lava, you lose. To enter back into the game, drink one full beer and start on a space that the other players decide. If you are looking for party help - look no further than My Big Day!

March 10, 2015 -Fort Collins, Colo – Three specialty craft companies in Old Town Fort Collins have partnered together for a fundraiser to support The Rett Clinic in Children’s Hospital.
Join us Tuesday, April 7th at 6pm in Old Town Fort Collins for a fantastic foodie experience! Blue Skies Winery, CopperMuse Distillery and Pateros Creek Brewing Co. have partnered together to host a tasting tour "progressive". Guests of our tour will start at one of the 3 stops, and then hop from each tasty stop to another. At each stop guests will be presented with delectable pairings of tapas from the infamous ‘Chef Cam’ along with choice beers, wines, or spirits from each host. Tickets are only $60 per person, and proceeds go directly to The Rett Clinic to support their amazing work. Tickets can be purchased on the event website: http://www.BlueSkiesForRett.com The Rett Clinic serves families affected by Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome (RTT) is a debilitating neurological disorder diagnosed almost exclusively in females. RTT has been thought to affect 1 in 10,000 females. It is now believed, however, that the prevalence rate of RTT may be much higher. Rett leaves its victims profoundly disabled and completely dependent on others for every basic need that requires 24 hour a day care. The Rocky Mountain Rett Clinic is one of only 18 clinics in all of America that serve families who are dealing with this baffling disorder. The clinic is mostly funded by donations. Limited funding and resources only allow the clinic to be available 6 times per year. As such, there is a long waiting list for families to get in. Profits from this fundraiser go directly to the clinic. The Easter Keg Hunt is an annual event that keeps adults young! A wild and crazy scavenger hunt takes place in Old Town, Fort Collins and downtown Loveland Colorado. It is the perfect marriage between a road rally and a bar crawl!
Costumes, team color coordination, and 'Rabbit-Wear' is encouraged! A kick-off takes place at a local watering hole. Teams of 6-9 are gathered. Each team receives a bag filled with 'tools' for their hunt! Once we say the word "GO," all teams open their first Easter Egg and privately read their first clue. Each clue will lead teams to businesses around town where they will hunt for their eggs and solve clue after clue. The Easter Keg Hunt is by foot, and sure to be your favorite new way to celebrate Easter! The cost to participate is just $30 per person. The winning team receives a large keg trophy, and every team receives drinks and goodies along the way! We end the day between 4:30 and 5:30pm. Feel free to stick around for dinner and 'Keg Hunt' stories! Due to popularity, this event is capped based on restaurant capacity. This event sells out --- so purchase your tickets soon!
We are seeing some exciting wedding trends for 2015! My Big Day loves working with brides who have a vision and are willing to try new things. With every wedding season trends change and we can see patterns in popularity. Here is what we are seeing for 2015: Destination Weddings to the Colorado Mountains: Living and having a business based in Colorado, we see 'mountain themed' weddings all the time. But in 2015 we are seeing more destination weddings to the Colorado mountains than ever! We have brides coming from out of state and getting married in Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Estes park, Vail, Beaver Creek, Granby, and Steamboat Springs. Why are mountain weddings so popular? We think it's because a wedding outdoors makes for great photos, Colorado has reliable weather, and Colorado is more affordable than having your friends and family fly to Bora Bora for your destination! Classic Making a Comeback: Everything old is new again! Simple elegance, white, gold accents, distinguished details... We are seeing the word "Classic" everywhere! Think lace... pastel pink... fine china ... crystal.... what weddings were, and are again! CLICK HERE for more wedding inspiration on Pinterest! Laser-Cut Wedding Invitations: In 2015 laser cut and laser scribed invitations have definitely become popular. We are seeing "Classic" make a comeback, and laser cut invitations are a statement piece that can convey a classic theme to your guests. With the array of designs and intricacies available, these invitations set the tone of a wedding! They are great for Save the Dates too! We received this laser scribed invitation from bride, Alicia: "Frozen" Winter Weddings: Blame it on Disney... weddings are not just for the summer (they never really have been). But more than ever, winter weddings are gaining in popularity. And why not!?! Snow makes the perfect background for soft, clean, sparkly elegance! CLICK HERE for additional winter wedding inspiration on Pinterest. Wedding Cinematography: Forget the words "wedding video." Wedding movies are the new trend! My Big Day has worked with some incredible videographers who turn weddings into short films. We LOVE this trend! Below is a wedding film from one of our recent weddings: Craft Beer Weddings: Being from Colorado, and having a business in Northern Colorado, "The Napa of Beer"... we find that craft beer has made it's way into the wedding scene - BIG TIME! Signature cocktails will always be a fun offering for guests. But local, craft beer and spirits make your Big Day a celebration of you, and where you are from! Have Fun. Be Young. Let us know how we can help!
